NHTSA SFST Refresher & Curriculum Update Training
TBA – Fall 2023
NHTSA has recently released the new 2023 DWI Detection & SFST training curriculum. The 2023 training curriculum replaces the 2018 training curriculum. Do not be caught in court without the newest manual and updates.
This training course covers the revisions and updates made in the 2023 NHTSA DWI/SFST student manual that is currently being disseminated to law enforcement officers throughout the country. Ample time will be spent covering the differences between the 2023 manual and 2018 manual.
This course also meets the NHTSA requirements as a SFST refresher training course. This training will include a refresher on the proper administration, interpretation, and scoring of the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus test, Walk and Turn test, and One Leg Stand test.
A live alcohol workshop will be conducted during this training course so participants can administer and interpret the SFSTs on volunteers with BrACs from 0.00 to 0.15.
Attendees that have successfully completed a NHTSA approved SFST Instructor Development Course will receive the entire 2023 DWI/SFST training curriculum package, to include the Instructor Manual, Student Manual, Power Points, and Training Videos. All attendees will receive the new 2023 student manual.
