Description
This training course covers the revisions and updates in the most current NHTSA DWI/SFST student manual at the time of the course. This course also meets the NHTSA requirements as a SFST refresher training course. This training will include a refresher on the proper administration, interpretation, and scoring of the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus test, Walk and Turn test, and One Leg Stand test.
A live alcohol workshop will be conducted during this training course so participants can administer and interpret the SFSTs on volunteers with BrACs from 0.00 to 0.15.
Attendees that have successfully completed a NHTSA approved SFST Instructor Development Course will receive the entire 2023 DWI/SFST training curriculum package, to include the Instructor Manual, Student Manual, Power Points, and Training Videos. All attendees will receive the new 2023 student manual.
Pre-requisite: Student must have successfully attended a NHTSA approved “DWI/SFST Practitioners” training course.
